Résumé: Nous déduisons des lois fondamentales de l'élasticité un modèle pour le contact entre deux membranes, où les inconnues sont les déplacements des deux membranes et l'action d'une membrane sur l'autre. Nous effectuons l'analyse du système d'inégalités variationnelles correspondant. Nous proposons une discrétisation, où les déplacements sont approchés par des éléments finis usuels et l'action par un post-traitement local qui admet une reformulation mixte équivalente. Nous prouvons que le problème discret est bien posé et établissons des estimations optimales d'erreur a priori.

Abstract: The contact between two membranes can be described by a system of variational inequalities, where the unknowns are the displacements of the membranes and the action of a membrane on the other one. We first perform the analysis of this system. We then propose a discretization, where the displacements are approximated by standard finite elements and the action by a local postprocessing which admits an equivalent mixed reformulation. We prove the well-posedness of the discrete problem and establish optimal a priori error estimates.
