New translation : Activité électrique du coeur
Our interest in cardiac electrical activity has led us to model the heart as follows : first a reconstruction of the geometry is performed (restricted here to two ventricules) and a 3D mesh is then constructed ; then the electrical signal propagation is described by Aliev-Panfilov 2-variables set of equations which are discretized by a finite element method.
The chosen model is able to reproduce an action potential quite accurately, qualitatively close to the physiological one.
The simulation presented here (Medit) shows a signal initiated at the level of the sinusal node, propagating faster along its bundle (bundle of Hiss), and reaching rapidly both of the cardiac chambers.
