Wasserstein barycenters and systems of Monge-Ampère equations.

Résumé :
Wasserstein barycenters are natural a way to interpolate between several probability measures, generalizing McCann’s interpolation which has become popular in some applied fields of data sciences. In this talk, I will present some results and open questions related to these barycenters, insisting on the connection with systems of Monge-Ampère equations,
in particular the fact that the support of the barycenter solves a free boundary problem for such systems.
