PDE and ODE methods for weak KAM theory
Résumé
I will review some nonlinear PDE methods useful in weak KAM theory, including a simple PDE interpretation of the Virial Theorem. I will also explain the formal connections with Riccati systems of ODE, and discuss some (small) recent progress on a conjecture concerning the effective Hamiltonian and distinguished solutions of the associated Riccati equation.
